chronicle_logo.png The Washington D.C based news source for university faculty and academics, The Chronicle for Higher Education, has carried a review on the recently released book, "Delete: The Virtue of Forgetting in the Digital Age" by I+I director, Viktor Mayer-Schönberger. The reviewer, Siva Vaidhyanathan, associate professor of media studies and law at the University of Virginia, finds the book to be "one of a number of smart recent books that gently and eruditely warn us of the rising costs and risks of mindlessly diving into new digital environments—without, however, raising apocalyptic fears of the entire project."

"Delete: The Virtue of Forgetting in the Digital Age," by I+I director, Viktor Mayer-Schönberger, has been on a tour in the US and Europe for the past few weeks. In addition to the numerous responses it has generated in the media and the blogosphere, presentation of the book started a number of interesting discussion on the role of memory and the ability to forget in our hyper-mediated reality.
